Tecno Spark 8P review: don’t take it lightly…

Tecno recently launched its budget smartphone Tecno Spark 8P. The company designed it especially for customers who are looking for a stylish phone with powerful features in a low budget. The price of the phone is close to 11,000 rupees. Although it is cheap, the phone comes with lots of powerful features. We had a chance to review this phone so let us tell you how our experience with the phone was and whether to buy it or not…..

First know what will be found in the phone booth
As soon as you open the box, the first thing that comes to mind is the assertive looking Techno 8P. Apart from that, a 10W charger, a micro USB charging cable, some documents, a SIM eject tool and a silicone case will be in the box.

how much does the phone cost
The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the phone is priced at Rs 10,999 on Amazon while the same model is listed on Flipkart for Rs 11,999. Amazon is also offering a redemption bonus of up to Rs 10,250 on the phone but there will be no exchange bonus on Flipkart.

How is the phone in terms of design and appearance
The phone is quite compact and slim. It doesn’t feel awkward at all when held in hands. The lower part of the back cover has a rigid design that does not scratch or fingerprint, while the upper part is glossy with fingerprints. A camera and a flashlight are also installed in this shiny part. The good thing is that the company gives the silicone case along with the phone itself. The phone is available in four colors including Tahiti Gold, Turquoise Cyan, Atlantic Blue and Iris Purple. We had the chance to test the Turquoise Cyan color variant, which is very beautiful.

The right side of the phone houses the volume rocker and power button and the left is just the SIM tray. The bottom of the phone houses a microphone, audio jack, speaker grill, and micro USB charging port. You might also not like this thing that in the era of type, the company still offers this micro USB port. In other words, you will always have to carry its charger with you. The phone is lightweight and can be used with one hand provided your palm is not too small. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button and is fast and accurate. With just a touch, you can lock and unlock your phone. Overall, the build of the phone is quite good.

Display and performance
Along with the Tecno 8P, the Spark series brings 1080p displays. The phone has a 6.6 inch Full HD Plus display, in which Dewdrop Notch is available. The display of the phone is vibrant, crisp and when we used it outdoors viewing the screen was no problem. YouTube’s high resolution viewing experience on its Full HD display was excellent. The touch of the phone is also very smooth and apps open faster too. The phone runs on Android 11 Android 11 and HiOS 7.6. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. For processing, the company has packed the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset into the phone. The phone also supports up to 3GB of virtual RAM, increasing its RAM to 7GB if needed.

HiOS 7.6 comes with a new modern layout which includes minimalist visual experience and new features like Proof of Access, App Twin, Video Assistant, Enhanced Smart Scanner with Document Fix, Cloner phone. Lots of bloatware are also present in the phone but they can be easily uninstalled or disabled. The Tecno Spark 8P performed well with simple things like a bit of multitasking and light gaming. When you start working with graphics-rich games like Asphalt or PUBG, you get jerky gameplay. The smartphone is suitable for everyday needs but will be, but if you are a heavy gamer or multitasker this is not for you.
