The three-game test series against South Africa in 2019 was a milestone series for Virat Kohli & Men. The Indian team have been absolutely sensational on the pitch in three test matches as they have given South Africa no chance of making a return to the series. The hosts made history as they applied the first round of whitewashes against South Africa against India in the purest format in the game.

The first test between the two teams saw India win by 203 points. What followed after that was pure domination for the Indian team as they won the second test by one set and 137 points. In the third test, India outscored the visitors by one heat and 202 points to register their biggest victory over the Proteas in test history.

The third test started with India posting a gigantic score of 497 points on the scoreboard. Rohit Sharma was brilliant with the willow as usual as he slammed 212 points while opening the sleeves alongside Mayank Agarwal. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane also flaunted his class hammering 115 points.

In response, South Africa had no answers to the tough questions posed by Indian bowlers. India’s bowling unit were murderous and disciplined in their approach as they folded the visitors to 162 points in just 56.2 overs. Zubayr Hamza showed some form by adding 62 points to the scoreboard, but no other hitter could touch even 40 points.

At batting in the third inning, the visiting nation slumped to 133 to give India an easy victory. This time around, it was Shami who picked up three wickets while Umesh and Nadeem had two under their belt. Interestingly, with the victory over South Africa, India also continued its dominance in the purest format of the game as it was their 11th consecutive home test win.
