Doggie date night serves special meals in Independence Square

It was a doggy style night in Independence Square in Independence, Missouri tonight. The pets and their owners were treated to a gourmet evening and dinner. Meals were provided by two separate square restaurants, Ophelia’s and Courthouse Exchange. 100% of the money raised will be donated to Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary. The animals were also able to eat. Dog dinners were provided by the Brookside Bakery. The event had also set up a space to pose for a photo after the meal. Wednesday night all reservations were full. Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary President and CEO Russell Clothier was pleased with the attendance at the event. “We really appreciate that our community has come to support us and help our mission to find homes for all dogs,” said Clothier. Over $ 500 was raised through the event.
