What do you get when you combine a 1980s home designed by a renowned Dallas architect with a recent redesign by a Los Angeles-based design firm? You get this North Dallas home that combines classic design details with modern updates. The house was originally designed by architect Bill Booziotis and built in 1986. In 2017 the house was completely renovated.
The 6,022-square-foot home features traditional touches like decorative woodwork and modern elements like the sleek kitchen design (coming from an Italian brand). Listing agent Ryan Streiff of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate said the sellers’ renovation has retained the home’s original, classic design, but features more modern room proportions and ceiling heights.
“They took a house that had great bones and a timeless rise and a beautiful setting, then took the interiors to another level with an LA-based design firm,” Streiff said.
The house sits on a cul-de-sac in the Williamsburg Estates neighborhood near Preston Road and Spring Valley Road. The property spans 1.1 acres and features a saltwater swimming pool and an outdoor entertaining area in the backyard.

The patterned marble flooring in the lobby gives a luxurious feel upon entering the home. The foyer has high ceilings and a spiral staircase at one end leads to the second level. A living room is next to the fireplace and has an open concept design that flows into the family room and dining room. This open concept space has patterned wood floors, wainscoting along the walls, and French doors that bring in light and provide access to outdoor spaces. Another living space has black and white patterned flooring, a fireplace and patio doors that access the rear patio.
The kitchen, with a sleek and modern design, is close to the dining room. Both the kitchen and the adjoining breakfast room have a view of the garden. Multiple sets of French doors provide access to the back patio for easy indoor-outdoor flow when entertaining. The kitchen has a coffee bar, Miele appliances and island counter seating.
The master suite and two bedrooms are on the first level of the house. Located in its own wing, the master bedroom is at the front of the house and has enough space for its own sitting area. The black and white design motif continues in the master bathroom, which features marble accents, a freestanding tub, double shower, and dual sinks. The other two bedrooms on the ground floor have an adjoining bathroom and one bedroom could be used as an office.
The house has a laundry room, a garage for one car, a pantry and a powder room on the first level. Upstairs, two further bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and there is also a living room which could be used as an additional bedroom.
The home at 6210 Raintree Court is listed at $3,249,000.
