The 2022 Asian Cup will be hosted by Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 13 matches will take place during the tournament. India are the defending champions of the tournament, having won the title in 2018 by beating Bangladesh In the final. India has also won the most 7 Asian Cup titles so far. Sri Lanka comes next with 5 titles while Pakistan won 2 titles.

A total of 6 teams will participate in the Asian Cup 2022. These are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. One more team will qualify for the tournament after the qualifying round. In the qualifying round, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates are the 4 teams that will compete.

The winning team will take 6th place in the tournament. There are two groups in the Asian Cup 2022. In Group 1, there are India, Pakistan and the qualifying team. In group B, there are Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

During the group stage, each team will play a match against the teams in its group. The top 2 teams from both groups will qualify for the super four round. In the super 4 round, each team will play a game against each other. The two best teams will qualify for the final.

So far, only India and Pakistan have announced their squads for the 2022 Asian Cup. India has named Rohit Sharma as skipper while Pakistan appointed Babar Azam as captain.

The venue of the tournament is the United Arab Emirates. However, Sri Lanka is the host of the tournament. Sri Lanka was to host the tournament in their country. However, due to ongoing political unrest inside the country, they had to move the venue of the tournament to the United Arab Emirates.

Since the UAE is the venue for the tournament, stadiums like Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium are the three grounds that will host all the matches.
